WHAT BEATS WHAT

ROYAL FLUSH    A Royal Flush is the highest ranking hand in most poker games.  It consists of five cards in a row, (A-K-Q-J-10) all of the same suit.

STRAIGHT FLUSH    Five in a row of the same suit.  Same as a Royal Flush only with a lower numerical ranking.

FOUR OF A KIND    All four, one of each suit, of the same value cards.

FULL HOUSE   Three cards of the same value with two cards of another value.

FLUSH    Five cards, in non-sequential order, but all of the same suit.

STRAIGHT    Five cards in a row of mixed suits.

THREE OF A KIND   Three cards of the same value.

TWO PAIR    Two cards of the same value with two cards of a different value from first two cards but similar in value to each other.

ONE PAIR    Two cards of the same value.

HIGH CARD
